A phantom operation carried out by disgraced surgeon Sam Eljamel has left a Scots nurse’s life in tatters.
Pam Woodfield, 47, is calling for the Scottish Government to ensure a public inquiry begins this year.

She said: “It’s ripped my world apart. All my whole life I wanted to be a nurse and to have to give it up is horrendous.”

Pam suffered headaches for years after being born with hydrocephalus, water on the brain, and having a shunt in her head since she was an infant.
