Humza Yousaf has said that NHS Tayside is right to apologise to patients over their handling of a rogue surgeon.

He added that a report released yesterday showed the health board made a number of “serious failures” in relation to Sam Eljamel, pictured, and his ability to continue to carry out surgeries.

The first minister made the comment after it was revealed that NHS Tayside has sent apology letters to more than 100 patients of Mr Eljamel.
